This Privacy Policy explains how ZAU Studios ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the ApplyAce mobile application (com.zaustudios.applyace) (the "App"). By using the App you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and an encrypted password to authenticate you.
Resume / CV content. Information you enter or import to build your resume — name, contact details, work experience, education, skills, and any text from PDF CVs you import.
Purchase information. Subscription status and transaction identifiers needed to manage your premium access (processed by RevenueCat and Google Play; we do not receive or store your card details).
Device & usage data. App usage events, device identifiers, and diagnostic data collected to operate analytics and serve ads.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create, store, and sync your resumes across sessions.
To provide AI features — ATS scoring, job-match, and grammar suggestions — by sending your resume text to our AI provider for processing.
To manage subscriptions and unlock premium features.
To display advertising (including rewarded ads) to users on the free tier.
To measure performance, fix crashes, and improve the App.

3. AI Processing of Resume Text

When you use an AI feature, the relevant resume text is transmitted to Google Gemini through a secure Supabase Edge Function that acts as a proxy. The text is processed to generate the requested analysis and the result is returned to the App. We do not use your resume content to train AI models. Google's handling of API data is governed by the Google AI / Gemini API Terms.

4. Third-Party Services

We share information with the following service providers solely to operate the App:

Supabase — authentication, database storage, and the AI proxy. (Privacy Policy)
Google Gemini (Google AI) — AI analysis of resume text. (Privacy Policy)
RevenueCat — subscription management. (Privacy Policy)
Google AdMob — advertising; may collect device identifiers for ad delivery and measurement. (Ads & Privacy)
Firebase Analytics (Google) — usage analytics. (Privacy Policy)

5. Data Storage & Security

Your account and resume data are stored on Supabase infrastructure and protected by industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS). While onboarding, resumes may be stored locally on your device until you sign in. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data while your account is active. You can delete individual resumes in the App at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below and we will process the request within 30 days.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (including GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
